A native of Uganda, one year old John is the most recent patient to benefit from Gift of Life's generosity. His family and an interpreter were taken care of at the new FedEx House and the surgery took place at LeBonheur Childrens Hospital. Everything went well and John is on his way back to Uganda to join his 6 older sisters!

When she won the Memphis Star Challenge for her performance of her original song “A Mother’s Hug”, Jill Dyson was awarded a recording session at Ardent Studios and airplay on Kix 106.  But this isn’t just about the music; a portion of the proceeds from the song’s sales will benefit the Gift of Life MidSouth.

Gift of Life MidSouth is a 501(3)c, which is a project of Rotary District 6800 and works to provide lifesaving surgeries to children from developing counties.

The new original song, “Wears the Love” was co-written by Grammy award winner Bruce Carroll, Donna Hauth and Stephanie Wachob.
